William P. Adams

Dr. Adams maintains a private practice in plastic surgery in Dallas, TX. In addition, he also serves as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He is the program director of the UT Southwestern Aesthetic Fellowship. Dr. Adams is an international authority on breast augmentation/ enlargement, breast implants technology including cohesive gel implants, capsular contracture, and breast implant associated ALCL. He has developed new techniques for use in clinical breast implant surgery that has made breast augmentation / enlargement and breast reconstruction safer for patients. Humberto C. Antunes is proactively involved in research to address the issues arising from the ageing demographics, providing holistic health solutions, helping technologies converge and the digital revolution.

He managed Galderma, a pharmaceutical company, for almost 20 years. In 2014, he co-founded Nestlé Skin Health, a company committed to enhancing the quality of life by delivering science-based solutions for the health of skin over the course of people’s lives, that he led until end of 2016. Humberto promoted geographic expansion of the businesses to over 70 countries, created new distribution channels, acquired new audiences and led many successful acquisitions, integrations, joint-ventures, license deals and divestitures. Humberto led research teams on both sides of the Atlantic that achieved hundreds of New Drug Applications, patent filings and clinical trials. Galderma went from a pure prescription drug player in the US and France in the late 90s to a global dermatology company with well-balanced businesses in aesthetic & corrective medicine, prescription drugs and a thriving skin care consumer segment, including iconic brands such as Restylane, Azzalure / Dysport, Differin, Epiduo, Cetaphil and proactiv.

An active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Skin Association and the Women’s Dermatologic Society, he currently serves as a member of the AAD’s Corporate Relations Committee and chairs the Education Council of the American Skin Association. In 2017, Humberto joined the Board of Avadim Technologies, Inc, a bionome sciences company; co-founded Gore Range Capital, venture capital in healthcare and cooperates with Terra2 Solutions, a hub dedicated to innovative healthcare solutions for the future needs of mankind.

Humberto’s experience spans the globe, with positions that took him and his family through many countries. He speaks six languages fluently. He graduated in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and the IMD Lausanne, Switzerland.

Udi Arad

Udi Arad, M.D., received his medical degree from the Hadassah Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and completed his residency training in Plastic Surgery at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center in Israel. He completed two fellowship programs at the University of Toronto in Pediatric and Breast Plastic Surgery, drawing inspiration from both fields in establishing Israel’s first clinic for Adolescent Breast Deformities at the Tel Aviv Medical Center. Dr. Arad is Director of the Breast Reduction and Asymmetry Service at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center. His main interests include oncoplastic breast reconstruction, reconstruction of breast and chest-wall deformities, and aesthetic breast surgery. Complementing his clinical interests, Dr. Arad conducts laboratory research in the field of breast implant biofilm-infection with focus on methods for prevention of infection and capsular contraction.

Mark Ashton

Professor Mark Ashton is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne and Chair of Plastic Surgery at Epworth Freemasons Hospital. He is the former Head of Plastic Surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (2001-2016). Mark is President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and is an Invited Editor for The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal in America and Editor in Chief of the Australasian Journal of Plastic Surgery. He is an invited Faculty Member of the International Perforator Flap Course in Belgium, Chairman of the Melbourne Advanced Facial Anatomy Course and Part of the Organising Committee for the upcoming Breast Masters Symposium. Alexander Aslani

Yoav Barnea

Yoav Barnea, MD Dr. Barnea is a specialist in plastic surgery and the head of the plastic and reconstructive breast surgery unit at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center in Israel. He is the past secretary of the Israel society of plastic and aesthetic surgery. He graduated medical school at Tel Aviv University and served in the army as chief physician of the airborne infantry brigade and commander of the medical officers’ course in the military school of medicine. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the Tel Aviv Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in microsurgical oncological reconstruction at MD Anderson, Houston, Texas. There he developed a specialization in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, including microvascular breast reconstruction. Currently Dr. Barnea performs various types of breast surgeries, both aesthetic and reconstruction, and works in the breast health center, as part of the multidisciplinary breast team. He is involved in new medical technologies and start-ups and serves as a medical advisor and consultant. He published over 60 papers, both clinical research and basic science projects on these subjects. Dr. Barnea in an invited speaker and faculty in many plastic surgery and breast meetings and has been leading breast symposiums, workshops and roadshows. He is a lecturer in plastic surgery and a tutor of medical students, interns, and residents.

Ardeshir Bayat

Dr Ardeshir Bayat, MBBS PhD is a clinician scientist, a principal investigator and an associate professor at the University of Manchester, UK. He is considered an international expert on the subject of breast implant surfaces, and breast capsular contracture formation; having published extensively in this subject area. His group have created and patented novel biomimetic implant surfaces, developed models for better understanding of capsular fibrosis, identified biomarkers by examining the genomic/proteomic profiles of breast capsules and evaluated novel targets for modulation of capsular fibrosis and implant surface coating. He is regularly an invited speaker at national and international scientific/clinical conferences (in excess of 450 personal and supervised presentations given to date with 21 young investigator nominations for his team). He has published extensively (H index 46) in peer-reviewed journals (409 publications including papers, published abstracts and book chapters). He is a grant reviewer for many research councils and currently sits on the editorial boards of several journals. His laboratory has an independent capacity in carrying out molecular, cellular, histological, genetic and protein research in tissue biology and bioengineering utilizing state of the art equipment. His research thrives upon the multidisciplinary and interactive research environment that currently exists, which allows translation of basic science research to major therapeutic developments that will have direct impact and specific utilization in clinical practice.

Giovanni Botti

Giovanni Botti, m.d., comes from Salò, Lake Garda, Italy and is the head manager and the main surgeon of Villa Bella Clinic. He took part as faculty member to very many aesthetic surgery courses and congresses, organized by both Universities and Scientific Societies in more than 30 different countries. He also performed demonstrative surgical operations in various hospitals worldwide. He is the author of four complete books and wrote chapters of several other textbooks together with 74 scientific articles published by the most well-known international medical reviews. He taught several years at the post-graduate aesthetic plastic surgery classes of various Universities both in Italy and in many other countries. He has been clinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Verona from 2002 up to now. He is also clinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Padua. He is honorary member of various national plastic surgery societies. Dr. Botti was awarded for his contributions to the improvement of Aesthetic Surgery by many national Societies. He was the first President of the Italian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AICPE), of which is still the honorary President. He is National Secretary of ISAPS for Italy and an ISAPS travelling professor. And, perhaps even more important, he loves his job!

Bradley Calobrace

Bradley Calobrace, MD, FACS Dr. Calobrace is a graduate of Indiana University Medical School and completed residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Subsequently, he completed a cosmetic and breast surgery fellowship with Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell and began practice in Louisville, Kentucky in 1997. He has dual clinical faculty appointments with the Departments of Plastic Surgery, at the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky and received teaching honors in 2007, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Calobrace also has started an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship to begin July 2019. Dr. Calobrace is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and member of American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has a thriving cosmetic surgery practice, performing approximately 1000 major cosmetic procedures each year, including facial surgery, body contouring, breast surgery, hair transplantation and post-bariatric rejuvenation. Dr. Calobrace is considered one of the leaders in the field of cosmetic breast surgery today in the United States performing over 400 breast surgeries per year. He has participated in multiple FDA clinical breast studies and has been a consultant and speaker for Allergan, Mentor and Sientra. Dr. Calobrace lectures extensively in the US and Internationally, is an ASAPS traveling professor, chairs the BIA-ALCL committee for ASAPS, performed live surgery at the 2009, 2014, 2016 and 2019 Atlanta Breast Symposium and 2018 Advanced Aesthetics Meeting in St Petersburg Russia. He also has published extensively on the subject of aesthetic breast surgery and his recent publication in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal entitled, “The Safety of Smooth and Textured Silicone Breast Implants” was the recipient of the Best Journal Article Paper award for ASJ 2018.

Henry Delmar

Dr Henry DELMAR has been running a successful practice for the last 25 years on the Cap d’Antibes, Côte d’Azur. Henry received his plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic degree at the University of Aix-Marseille in France in 1991. He is renown for his scientific works and researches in anatomy (facial tissue and fat pads), in plastic and aesthetic surgery facial rejuvenation and endoscopic breast surgery), in clinical research, aesthetic medicine. He also contributed to numerous articles and publications on facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. At present he is a frequent guest of honour at various lectures, congress and symposium. Various medical books have been written in facial rejuvenation and endoscopic breast enlargement. Active and honorary members of French and international scientific societies, Dr. Henry DELMAR is Past President of the French Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2009 and member of the Educational Council Committee of ISAPS. Seemal Desai

Dr. Seemal R. Desai is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a Board Certified Dermatologist. He graduated with honors from Emory University. He received his medical training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Magna Cum Laude with honors. He is the Founder & Medical Director of Innovative Dermatology and also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Desai is the author of numerous publications and has been invited to present at numerous international Dermatology events. His clinical interests include the treatment of vitiligo, and other disorders of pigmentation, psoriasis, acne, skin cancers, inflammatory skin rashes and phototherapy. Dr. Desai is very active in the local and national dermatologic community and is the President of the Skin of Color Society, and the Immediate Past President of the Texas Dermatological Society. In addition, he is a Past President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Dermatological Society. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and also serves on many other committees. He also serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical & Aesthetic Dermatology and as the Associate Editor of Pigment International, while also serving on numerous editorial advisory boards. Dr. Desai was also appointed to the United States Food & Drug Administration, Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC), and is the only dermatologist to serve on this government hearing panel. He is actively involved in medical politics, and frequently works with US Congressional officials and Senators on important healthcare issues. In his free time, Dr. Desai enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and son, as well as travelling, trying new restaurants, meeting new people, playing trivia games, exercising and enjoying the outdoors.

Anand Deva

Professor Anand Deva is the Program head in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Faculty of Health and Medical Science at Macquarie University. He is also co-director of the Surgical Infection Research Group at Macquarie University, which undertakes research into the prevention of surgical and medical device infection. Additionally, he holds senior staff specialist position and Conjoint Professor at Sydney hospital in the Department of Hand and upper limb surgery. Professor Deva is considered a leading academic and has published widely on issues related to wound healing and surgical infection, especially in relation to implantable medical devices. He has been a consultant to both government and biomedical companies and is a frequent invited speaker at both local and international meetings. More recent research has focused on improving delivery of health care services with the recent award of a NSW State innovation grant to establish a novel integrated care program in the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. He is director of the not for profit integrated specialist education and research foundation dedicated to improving the access of Australians to quality healthcare. He has served on the Australasian Training Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has been mentor to numerous local and international doctors who have worked alongside him in fellowship positions. Professor Anand Deva graduated from the University of Sydney in 1991 and was awarded first class honours and the University Medal in Medicine. After completing internship and residency at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, he was admitted into advanced training in General Surgery in 1994 and completed a Masters of Surgery in 1996 investigating the disinfection and sterilisation of surgical instruments. He commenced advanced training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in 1996 and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery) in 2000. He has received numerous awards and prizes that recognise his contribution to research, teaching and healthcare innovation.

Shimon Eckhouse

Dr. Shimon Eckhouse is an inventor, active entrepreneur and investor in the field of medical devices and medical technology. He founded and managed over 20 medical device companies including Lumenis (where he served as chairman and CEO and invented and developed the IPL technology) and Syneron/Candela which are leaders in the area of medical and aesthetic lasers. Dr. Eckhouse is the founder, owner and Chairman of Alon Medtech incubator in Israel which is investing in early stage start-ups in health care technologies.

Emmanuel Elard

Dr Emmanuel Elard has a clinic in Paris and is a specialist in anti-ageing and aesthetic medicine, with specific experience and knowledge in injectable and laser procedures. He obtained his MD at the Faculty of Pitié-Salpetriere in Paris, then IUD of aesthetics and anti-ageing medicine in Lyon. Ferial Fanian

Ferial Fanian MD, PhD received her medical degree form Isfahan University of Medical Science in Iran. She has a PhD in Life and Health Science from University of Bourgogne-Franche Comté (France) where she got an honorary grade with appreciation of the jury for her thesis on human primary melanocytes. Athina Giannopoulou

Dr. Athina Giannopoulou graduated first in her class from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She completed her residency in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She did a post graduate fellowship in Aesthetic & Breast Surgery at Paces Plastic Surgery of Emory University with Drs. Hester, Nahai and Mc Cord. Mario Goisis

Mario Goisis is the director of Doctor’s Equipe, a group of 9 clinics and medical offices in Italy. He obtained his MD at Milan University in 1999. He is Certified in Maxillofacial Surgery since 2004. Tamara Griffiths

Dr Tamara Griffiths received her dermatology training at the University of Michigan, USA and the University of Manchester, UK. An American Board-Certified dermatologist and on the UK Specialist Register, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the British Association of Dermatologists. She is a senior Consultant at one of the largest UK Dermatology Centres at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, and Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester where she is Programme Director for the MSc in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine. She is Chair of the Royal College of Physicians’ Dermatology SAC, responsible for Dermatology training across the UK. In 2015 she was appointed as the first Education Director of the British Association of Dermatologists.

Dr Griffiths is recognised internationally as an expert in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology. She is founding member and past-President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and has represented the UK across Europe to develop high standards of care (BSI and CEN). She was key advisor to the Review of Cosmetic Interventions lead by Sir Bruce Keogh (2013) and is founding member and Trustee of the newly formed Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA), recognised as the professional body responsible for bench-marking UK standards. As Trustee of the British Skin Foundation, she has regular appearances in broadcast and print media, and has been named as one of Tatler’s top Dermatologists. Alessandro Gualdi

Nadim Hallab

Dr Hallab is a Professor in the Dept of Orthopedics, Dept of Immunology, and Dept of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Rush University.  Dr Hallab received his PhD in Biomedical engineering from Tulane University in 1996. He has published over 100 articles in the area of orthopedics. teaches graduate courses in biomaterials and biocompatibility. He is the founder and CEO of a small business that performs metal sensitivity testing for orthopedic patients. Dr Hallab’s research involves the study of implant degradation and biologic reactivity to soluble and particulate implant debris with four areas of focus: 1) Immune reactivity to implant debris, from both an adaptive (T-cell) and innate (macrophage) perspective, 2) Implant connections (modular junctions) and implant fretting corrosion, metal release and metal-protein complex formation, 3) Peri-implant cell toxicity responses to implant degradation products such as metals, 4) Study of how material surfaces can be used to control immune and cell function such as bone deposition.

Dennis Hammond

Dennis Hammond, MD, is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He received his MD and undergraduate education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor; his combined general surgery and plastic surgery training at the Grand Rapids Area Medical Education Center also in Michigan. He completed 2 fellowships; the first in Aesthetic & Reconstructive surgery of the breast and the second in Hand and Microsurgery. His primary areas of specialization are: aesthetic breast surgery, breast reconstruction, and revisionary breast surgery and body contouring. As a widely respected international speaker, Dr. Hammond is in continual demand to lecture at peer-level conferences worldwide and in the U.S. He designed and developed the SPAIR short scar breast reduction technique; has developed and marketed his own tissue expander for breast reconstruction, developed the internationally utilized BodyLogic evaluation system used for implant sizing in breast augmentation and has participated in nearly every known breast implant study since 1990. He has authored numerous publications and book chapters, co-edited two textbooks on breast surgery, has authored his own Atlas of Aesthetic Breast Surgery and he continues to pursue an active clinical and research interest in every aspect of aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.

Per Hedén

Dr Per Hedén is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He was the pioneer in establishing microsurgical procedures in the Stockholm region in the beginning of the 1980´s and has still a profound interest in reconstructive surgery and a special interest in facial paralysis reanimations. Dr Hedén is also the Founder of Akademikliniken, which is now Europe’s largest private hospital exclusively for plastic surgery and is a member of many international and national plastic surgery societies.  He has written the patient information book: “Plastic Surgery and You” published in Swedish 1996. It has since been translated and published in English and Russian. He has also published several book chapters in medical textbooks on the topic of breast augmentation and written close to 100 peer reviewed medical articles.


Dr Hedén has developed several new techniques applying to the use of breast implant devices and he has held many international workshops and lectures on this subject. He has performed a large number of live surgery demonstrations of his techniques in many countries worldwide and he is a frequent presenter and moderator at medical congresses. Dr Hedén has also been a lecturer at medical education programs, participated in clinical studies on breast surgery and has been hosting education events at Akademikliniken, where he shares his knowledge on aesthetic breast surgery with plastic surgeons from numerous countries. Dr Hedén is also the organizer and president of the international plastic surgery congress “Beauty trough Science” held each year in Stockholm. This congress is now the largest aesthetic medical congress in northern Europe. In 2018 it was attended by close to 1000 participants from 60 countries.

Dr Hedén was also one of the first plastic surgeons in the world to use of Botulinum toxin and Hyaluronic acid fillers. He was part of introducing the first non-animal-based HA in 1996 and has since acted as a key opinion leader for different companies in this field. Dr Hedén is well known for his non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques and he has extensively demonstrated and lectured about this around the world.

Benoit Hendrickx

Prof. Dr. Benoit Hendrickx graduated summa cum laude in medicine at the University of Leuven in Belgium. He obtained his specialist degree in plastic surgery after training and fellowships in Belgium, the UK and Australia with a focus on microsurgery and cosmetic surgery. Meanwhile, he also obtained a PhD in biomedical sciences . He currently holds a consultant position as associate professor in plastic surgery at the Brussels University Hospital (UZ Brussel) and has two private practices. His focus is on breast and body contouring surgery, as well as facial surgical and non-surgical aesthetics. He is the author of many scientific and clinical publications and developed a profound interest in facial anatomy and injectables. He is teacher at many facial anatomy fresh cadaver dissection and injectable courses and organizer of several meetings on facial aesthetics and rhinoplasty. With this background, he acts as a consultant to several companies in the cosmetic field and is he developing new technologies to increase safety for injectables. Prof. Dr. Hendrickx is a board member of the Royal Belgian Society of Plastic Surgery (RBSPS), a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS) and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS) and associate editor of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery-Global Open journal (PRS-GO).

Haideh Hirmand

Dr. Haideh Hirmand earned her Doctorate in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and her Master’s in public health administration at Harvard’s JFK School of Government. She trained at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in surgery and was a surgical research fellow at Cornell Medical College and Rockefeller University. She completed her research project at Oxford University and her sub-specialty fellowship in eyelid/aesthetic surgery at Paces Plastic Surgery/Emory University. She completed a second craniofacial and aesthetic fellowship at Paris’ Necker Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hirmand has been in private practice since 1999 and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New York Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is also a member of the attending staff at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat and Lenox Hill Hospitals. Dr. Hirmand specializes in eyelid and facial rejuvenation procedures and has pioneered safe injection techniques for around the eyes. She also has a special interest in secondary breast surgery and body contouring. Dr. Hirmand is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American and International Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Amin Kalaaji

Amin Kalaaji, MD, PhD, is clinic chief and consultant plastic surgeon at Oslo Plastic Surgery Clinic in Oslo, Norway and President of the Norwegian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (NSAPS). He has held clinic chief position for 16 years. For 10 years prior, he was consultant plastic surgeon/vice chief and chief in the plastic surgery departments at Telemark Central Hospital and Oslo University Hospital in Norway. ​ Dr. Kalaaji completed his surgical training in Paris, France, and Gothenburg, Sweden, where he also earned his PhD in bone grafting of cleft lip and palate. In the past 10 years, his focus has been on aesthetic breast surgery, including aesthetic augmentation with fat grafting; a new method that includes a logarithm to treat inverted nipples; intimate surgery; gluteal augmentation with fat; and quality of life (QoL) after aesthetic surgery (e.g., breast, intimate, and nose surgery). He has published many peer-reviewed scientific papers and has presented more than 230 lectures, courses, and invited-speaker lectures in plastic and aesthetic surgery worldwide, such as for ASAPS, ISAPS, ISPRES, IMCAS, and many national and international aesthetic surgery meetings. Dr. Kalaaji currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery, is a reviewer for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and participates as faculty in global aesthetic courses for the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

Roger Khouri

Doctor Khouri is a Plastic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience with breast reconstruction. Twenty years ago, while a Professor of Plastic Surgery at Washington University he published what was then the world’s largest experience with microsurgical breast reconstruction. Over the past 12 years, he has perfected a much more patient friendly alternative method of breast reconstruction that involves no incision, no implants and no flap using tissue engineering technology with external expansion. Hee-Jin Kim

Hee-Jin Kim, DDS, PhD, is a professor in the Division of Anatomy & Developmental Biology, Department of Oral Biology, Yonsei University College of Dentistry, Seoul, Korea. He obtained his DDS from the Yonsei University College of Dentistry in 1991, and his PhD from the Yonsei University Graduate School in 1996. He was appointed as a professor in the Division of Anatomy & Developmental Biology since 1996. Now, he is working as an Associate Editors of “Surgical & Radiologic Anatomy” and “European J Clinical Anatomy”, and as an editorial board of “Clinical Anatomy”. In addition, he is a section editor of “International Scholarly Research Notices. In addition, as Professor Kim has authored or co-authored 20 textbooks and more than 300 articles that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals.

Jaewook Kim

Dr. Jae Wook Kim is a medical director of HUGEL, Inc., a manufacturer of Botulinum Toxin product, Botulax®, in Korea. Dr. Kim graduated from Korea University College of Medicine. He did the internship and the family medicine residency at Korea University Medical Center, Anam Hospital. After the military service at Hongsung National Public Hospital in Korea, he worked at the plastic surgery clinics for 3 years, performed liposuction, fat grafting, and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures. He has broadened his career horizon to medical director since 2012 and has contributed extensively to convening the annual aesthetic conference known as Hugel Expert Leader’s Forum (H.E.L.F) and cadaver workshops, publishing IIT journals, as well as developing medical training modules. Dr. Kim also serves as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of Dankuk University Dental College, and as an advisory doctor for diabetes mellitus and hypertension at Hongsung National Public Hospital. He is a Board Member of Korean Association for Laser, Dermatology and Trichology and a member of various academies and societies including Korean Geriatric Education and Training Center, and Korean Society of Obesity and Well-being.

Luciano Lanfranchi

He is a member of the American & European Plastic Surgery Associations. Dr. Lanfranchi has extensive experience in Cosmetic, Reconstructive Surgery and Cosmetic Medicine. He is a Key Opinion Leader, Lecturer and Trainer in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgical and Medical procedures and has published a number of scientific papers in journals and magazines.

Craig Layt

Dr Layt is an Australian trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based on the Gold Coast, Australia with extensive experience in most areas of aesthetic surgery. He has particular expertise and interest in aesthetic breast surgery and is commonly an invited speaker on breast surgery at meetings around the world. He enjoys trying to stimulate discussion and thought with his lectures and believes that often the best pearls are found over a cup of coffee between the sessions. He has been an educator for Allergan and Mentor and has a long running sought after Aesthetic Breast Fellowship program. He has run and been the principle educator for major educational events including live surgery on numerous occasions. Dr Layt was elected as President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons from 2010 until July 2012. During his two-year role as President he was instrumental in developing and launching The Non-Surgical Symposium – now one of the premier world meetings in the nonsurgical space. Dr Layt is proud to continue his involvement in education at BTS.

Dominique Malard

After business school and MBA (2010), Mr Dominique Malard has led several companies in the medical Industry and is Owner and CEO of the company 1st SurgiConcept since 2013. Created in 2007, 1st SurgiConcept is the only French manufacturer of permanent silicone implants with a unique concept of flexible and elastic threads dedicated to ptosis treatment. Invited speaker in many International Aesthetic congresses, Dominique has developed a large know-how of the Aesthetic threads market and has a wide view of the different existing products and procedures. He is recognized as one of the industry experts in this field.

Patrick Mallucci

Patrick Mallucci graduated in 1989 from medical school to embark upon his surgical training. In 1993 he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Having completed his general surgery he undertook his training in Plastic Surgery both in the UK and abroad, London, Oxford, Stoke Mandeville, Australia and Paris. In 1996 he was awarded the higher post graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD) having spent two years at University College London developing the concept of scarless wound healing. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, FRCS (Plast) in 1998. Mr Mallucci is entered into the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.

He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He is currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Free and University College London Hospitals. His Private practice is based at The Cadogan Clinic in Chelsea. Mr Mallucci has published comprehensively within the Plastic Surgery Literature throughout his career and presents his work internationally at Plastic Surgery Conferences and is most recently renowned for his extensive research into “The Perfect Breast” a paper that has been published worldwide.

He is actively involved in teaching both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has also been highly involved with the media through BBC documentaries, news items and chat shows. His broad training and international fellowships have enabled him to develop special interests within the broad field of Plastic Surgery – his specialist interests of aesthetic surgery include: breast and body contour as well as an interest in breast reconstruction.

Kavita Mariwalla









Dr. Kavita Mariwalla is a nationally recognized leader in dermatology and dermatologic surgery in the US, whose expertise is in the areas of anti-aging procedures and skin cancer treatment. Prior to starting her own private practice, Dr. Mariwalla was the Director of Cutaneous Oncology at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt and Beth Israel Medical Centers in New York. Dr. Mariwalla has been recognized for extensive work in the area of dermatologic education and is considered an expert injector of fillers and neuromodulators. She has written two editions of the widely used book, “Primer in Dermatologic Surgery,” which is highly regarded by residents and seasoned dermatologic surgeons. She is also the sole author of the “Cosmeceutical Compendium.” Dr. Mariwalla is editor of “Surgical Pearls” for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and recently served on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Mariwalla is noted for sharing her injection techniques during live demonstrations at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meetings. Her private practice has been nominated for the “Best of Long Island,” since its inception in 2012. Dr. Mariwalla earned her degree in medicine at the Yale School of Medicine where she also completed her dermatology residency and fellowship training.

Patrick Maxwell

Trained in plastic surgery at the Johns Hospital, Dr. Maxwell is a Clinical Professor of plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and Loma Linda University in California. Hailed as a visionary in plastic surgery Dr Maxwell is a pioneer of breast cancer reconstructive surgery as well as aesthetic breast surgery. A renowned educator, he has published over 150 scientific papers, performed live surgical demonstrations in more than twenty countries worldwide, and trained many plastic surgery residents/fellows, a number of whom have followed in his footsteps in becoming world renowned plastic surgeons and educators. Dr Maxwell is also an inventor and entrepreneur. He invented and designed the BioDimensional System in breast surgery, as well as the entire Allergan breast product portfolio including the “Natrelle”133 tissue expander and “Natrelle” cohesive anatomical and round breast implants. He was pioneer in ultrasonic liposuction creating the Medical Device Alliance technology/platform, now owned by Mentor Corporation. He co-founded Precision Light (a 3-D imaging technology technology) acquired by Allergan and incorporated into the Canfield Vectra XT Technology. He is a co-founder of GID, a fat graft processing and adipose stem cell company, the former acquired by Allergan and the latter currently in advanced FDA clinical trials in the US. He is a founding board member of Alphaeon, whose neurotoxin, Evolus (Jeaveau) is currently being launched in the US.

Rahul Mehta

Dr. Rahul C Mehta is Vice President of Research & Development for SkinMedica, An Allergan Company. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from West Virginia University and B. Pharm. from University of Bombay. Prior to joining SkinMedica in 2005, Dr. Mehta was part of the product development team at Ionis Pharmaceuticals and on the faculty at University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy. During his 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development he has authored or co-authored over 65 research publications and book chapters, over 175 poster presentations and multiple patents in pharmaceutical sciences. Stephane Meunier

Dr. Stephane Meunier is the founder and CEO of HALLURA, a medical device company developing the next generations of implantable hydrogels for aesthetic medicine and other medical applications. Dr. Meunier has nearly 20 years of professional experience in R&D and innovation. He started his career as a research associate in Prof M.G. Finn laboratory at the Scripps Research Institute (California, USA) and as a Medicinal Chemist for GlaxoSmithKline (Paris, France). He then joined academic research as a permanent researcher for 5 years at CNRS (Strasbourg, France). Prior to HALLURA, Dr. Meunier acted as R&D director for Teoxane for 8 years, during his tenure he was in charge of research, product and clinical development. Dr. Meunier research interests have been organic synthesis, antioxidants, molecular biology, virus capsids modification, nanotechnologies, carbon nanotubes, hyaluronic acid modification, dermal fillers and bioactive hydrogels. Paolo Montemurro

Dr. Paolo Montemurro studied medicine at Unversity of Insubria in Varese, Italy, where he received his degree in medicine and surgery. He then continued his career in plastic surgery at the University Hospital “Ospedale di Circolo” in Italy, where he became a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Paolo Montemurro moved to Sweden and has worked full-time at Akademikliniken in Stockholm since 2007, mainly focussing on aesthetic plastic surgery. He is a member of Swedish Society for Plastic Surgery (SPKF) and Swedish Society for Aesthetic Surgery (SFEP). Dr. Paolo Montemurro is in charge of the fellowship program at Akademikliniken, which is offered to plastic surgeons from all over the world and brings visitors to Akademikliniken all year round. He is also coordinating in first person the use of the 3D technology, capable of simulating the outcome of breast and nose surgery.

Hyoung Jin Moon

Prof Hyoung Jin Moon is President of the BeUp Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Seoul, Korea. He is also vice President of the Korean Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Prof Moon trained as a Facial Plastic Surgery Fellow at Seoul’s Yonsei University Hospital. Currently, Prof Moon sits on the Facial Plastic Surgery Boards in multiple Chinese cities. He is also on the Korean Board of Otorhinolaryngology , Facial Plastic Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery. He serves as an International and regional Advisory Trainer for Merz, Allergan as well as Galderma. Prof Moon is a member of various academies and societies, including the Korean Medical Association, Korean Academy of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery and the Korean Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He has contributed extensively to the area of facial plastic surgery in terms of scientific research, textbook and papers and has published widely in journals such as The Laryngoscope, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Ernst-Magnus Noah

Ernst-Magnus Noah, MD, PhD, is a director at the Department for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Kassel, Germany.

After studying in Marburg and Lübeck, He did a residency in general surgery and completed his plastic surgery training in Hannover and Aachen university. In 1993-1995 he mastered a microsurgical fellowship in Norfolk, Virginia USA. His PH.D work was about end to side neurorrhaphy which made him a Professor at the University of Aachen Germany in 2002. In 2003 he stared to be head of the newly formed Department of Plastic Surgery in Kassel, Germany.

He is an expert in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery with special emphasis in face and breast surgery. He has published various original papers on topics such as tissue engineering, muscle grafts, and head and neck reconstruction, and has given over 400 lectures.

Prof. Noah is a member of many professional societies including the German Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, ISAPS, GÄCD, In EASAPS he holds the position of the treasurer He is Past- President of the Association of German Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons VDÄPC.

Alessandra Nogueira

Dr Nogueira is a Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon. She completed her post graduate studies in Dermatocosmiatry and Laser in the Medical School of ABC, São Paulo – Brazil. She served as Assistant Professor of Aesthetic Dermatology in the dermatology department at the Medical School of ABC in São Paulo for two years. She also served as a medical consultant in Dermatology for Roche Pharmaceuticals Brazil in 2006 and Medical Manager for Galderma Brazil for six years. Since 2014, she serves as the Medical Director for Galderma US in the Aesthetic and Corrective business unit. Dr Nogueira is currently dividing herself between the US and Brazil, where she keeps her aesthetic practice. She is a Member of the Brazilian of Dermatology (SBD), Dermatologic surgery (SBCD), Member of the American society of Dermatology (ASD) and Dermatologic surgery (ASDS).

Tim Papadopoulos

Dr. Tim Papadopoulos, BSc, MBBS, FRACS (Gen.), FRACS (Plast.) Is the Head of Plastic Surgery at Westmead Private Hospital, as well as, the Founder and Medical Director of CosmeticCulture Clinics in Sydney. Dr. Papadopoulos earned his Science and Medical degrees from Monash University, Melbourne. He completed his postgraduate training in both General Surgery in Melbourne and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Sydney. Dr. Papadopoulos underwent further subspecialty training and attained Fellowships in both Cosmetic Surgery and Hand, Wrist and Microsurgery.
Dr. Papadopoulos has served as Past President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, is a Board Director of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and ISAPS Visiting Professor, and is the Regional Vice-Chair for Australia-Asia for the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Thomas Rappl

Thomas Rappl, MD, is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, born in Graz, Austria. He graduated in medicine at the Medical University, Graz, Austria. He then did a plastic surgery fellowship at the Medical University hospital in Graz. After graduated in Plastic Surgery, he spent one year at the Clinique Bizet in Paris working with Dr. Francoise Firmin. He is member of ÖGPÄRC, ISAPS, SOFCPRE. He graduated also in Sports Medicine and General Medicine. He is a WAKO medical board member. He is now working in the Medical University hospital Graz as a Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon, focusing on research and education in the field of Aesthetic surgery-and medicine. He is the medical director of MARA (medical aesthetic research academy). Having held a lot of international lectures and workshops and having received different awards in Aesthetic Medicine he is a key opinion leader for different international companies (Merz, Croma, MD Skin solutions, Smith&Nephew, etc.). He has performed lots of different medical studies in the field of aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery at the Medical University, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Enrico Robotti

Dr Robotti has been Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery of the “Papa Giovanni XXIII” Hospital in Bergamo, Italy since 1997. In private practice, he has progressively, and now exclusively, focused on rhinoseptoplasty, with a specific interest in complex revision cases.  Dr Robotti has authored or co-authored over 500 papers and presentations, and has been chairman, moderator, panelist or invited speaker at a large number of national and international meetings. Over the last 10 years he has organized and chaired the “Bergamo Open Rhinoplasty Course” in Bergamo, an international biennial symposium which had over 600 participants from 64 countries in the 2018 edition. Dr Robotti is regularly invited for lectures and live surgery in the major rhinoplasty symposia worldwide.  Dr Robotti was President of the Italian Society of Plastic Surgery in 2012-2013. He is Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery at the University of Torino and Milano, and is an ISAPS International Visiting Professor. He is founding member and current President of the “The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe”.

Katharina Russe-Wilflingseder

Katharina Russe-Wilflingseder is a board certified Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon and a board certified General Surgeon. She completed her residency in General and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital of Innsbruck, Austria. Since 1986 she is operating her privately owned clinic and laser center in Innsbruck, Austria and is specialized in Aesthetic Plastic and Laser Surgery. Jonas Röjdmark

Jonas Röjdmark is a certified Plastic Surgeon from the Swedish Society of Plastic Surgery, a member of the Swedish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Röjdmark did his training in plastic surgery at the Karolinska Institute (KI) in Stockholm and Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital in the USA. In 2000 he defended his Doctoral Degree in Microsurgery at Karolinska Institute. Ulf Samuelson

Ulf Samuelson, Associate professor in plastic surgery, has been working at Akademikliniken since the opening 1991. He is the Medical Director of the Akademikliniken clinics in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.  Ulf is the former Chairman of the Swedish Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and former ISAPS National secretary for Sweden. Kai-Uwe Schlaudraff

Dr Kai-Uwe Schlaudraff graduated from Medical School at the University of Freiburg where he received his MD degree in fundamental and clinical research on angiogenesis and growth factors in cardiovascular surgery. After having trained in London and Paris he completed his general surgery residency in Basel and received his training in plastic surgery as a resident and registrar at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG). He currently practices in his private clinic in Geneva with a special clinical interest in body contouring through VASER ultrasound assisted liposuction as well as breast surgery. Dr Schlaudraff is part of various research projects and clinical work with a focus on adipose derived stem cells, fat grafting and regenerative treatments for face, body and hair. Dr Schlaudraff is Board Certified by the Swiss (FMH) and the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) and is a member of the Swiss (SSCPRE), American (ASAPS) and International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) He has been invited to 300+ scientific lectures at Swiss, European and International congresses and was appointed Treasurer of the International Society of Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). Marcos Sforza

Marcos Sforza has a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (1998), specialized in Plastic Surgery at the Santa Casa da Misericordia of Rio de Janeiro with Prof Ivo Pitanguy (2004). He was the medical director of one of the largest private hospitals for cosmetic surgery in Europe (Dolan Park Hospital, UK) and is the senior professor of plastic surgery at the SESA University and visiting professor at the Faculty of Medicine UNIFESO (Brazil). He is responsible for one the few elective internships in Cosmetic Surgery in Europe. Hema Sundaram

Dr. Hema Sundaram is a dermatologist in Washington, D.C with special interest in scientific elucidation of aesthetic technologies. She completed masters and medical degrees with honors from Cambridge University, dermatology residency at the University of Chicago, post-doctoral fellowship, and Medical Staff fellowship at the National Institutes of Health while serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S Public Health Service. She has received clinical, research and publication awards.


Dr. Sundaram is a Visiting Professor for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), ASDS and AAD session moderator/director, and a keynote speaker at plastic surgery academies. She serves as mentor for the ASDS Future Leaders’ Network, on ASDS Work Groups, the Planning Committee of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS), and on scientific boards of congresses including the International Master Course in Aging Science (IMCAS). She organizes conferences and educational initiatives including the Global Aesthetics Alliance, which unites dermatologists and plastic surgeons to optimize procedural safety and outcomes.


Dr. Sundaram is an FDA Principal Investigator for fillers, toxins, lasers, devices and pharmaceuticals; Editorial Advisor to the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, Prime and other journals; and peer reviewer for journals including Dermatologic Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Tunç Tiryaki

Dr. Tunc Tiryaki is a plastic surgeon and Director of the Cellest Plastic Surgery Clinic in Istanbul and the Cadogan Surgery in London. Dr Tiryaki specialises in aesthetic surgery procedures, including breast and body surgery, and is a pioneer in stem cell assisted mini face-lifts that produce a younger looking appearance with no visible scars. He is renowned for his minimally invasive procedures, particularly suspension techniques, micro-lifting, and regenerative cell injections to generate natural-looking results. Dr Tiryaki is the editor of the internationally published ‘Inverse Abdominoplasty’, as well as the co-author of the ‘Stem Cell Therapies’ chapter of a major two-volume textbook on plastic surgery. Daniel del Vecchio

Dr. Daniel Del Vecchio is a world authority on enhancing the breast and buttocks through fat transplantation. Dr. Del Vecchio is 100% Ivy League educated. Having graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and receiving his MD degree from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Del Vecchio trained in general surgery and in plastic surgery at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Del Vecchio completed an additional fellowship in cosmetic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Columbia University School of Business in New York City. An international pioneer in the growing field of fat transplantation, Dr. Del Vecchio travels the world to teach fat transplantation surgery to fellow colleagues and to lecture on the topic. Virginia Vega

Dr. Vega holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology (University of Concepcion, Chile) and more than 20 years of research experience, in both academia and the skin care industry. She is the author of several peer reviewed communications as well as book charters. Soon after finishing her Ph.D. she moved to the U.S. to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. During this time, her research was focused on stress response, heat shock proteins, inflammation, aging and macrophages. In 2006, Dr. Vega got an Assistant Adjunct Professor position at the School of Medicine, University of California San Diego (USCD). She continued performing research on inflammation and macrophages polarization as well as teaching medical students. Between 2012-2016, Dr. Vega was a Research Investigator, Director Skin Biology Laboratories and Scientific Communications for SkinMedica, an Allergan company, where she led all aspects of product conceptualization and development, as well as external collaborations with skin care and anti-aging experts. Dr. Vega also played a critical role scientifically positioning new products with physicians and media outlets. Currently, she is the Vice President of Research and Development and Physician Education at SENTÉ where she continues leading company efforts from product conceptualization to commercialization.

Roy de Vita

Roy de Vita, MD Chief of Plastic Surgery Dept. at National Institute for Cancer of Rome Coordinator of the Breast Unit at National Institute for Cancer of Rome Roy de Vita MD, Consultant in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, is since 2002 the Chief of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of the National Cancer Institute “Regina Elena” of Rome and he is also Coordinator of the Breast Unit of the same Institute. Jill Waibel

Dr. Waibel practices as a Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, cutaneous laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She is in private practice in Miami, Florida. She is currently the Medical Director and Owner of the Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute. Dr. Waibel is the Subsection Chief of Dermatology at Baptist Hospital and the Medical Director of Miami Cancer Institute’s Multidisciplinary Skin Cancer Clinic. In addition, Dr. Waibel serves as a Clinical Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami. Eyal Winkler

Prof. Eyal Winkler M.D is a B.C. Plastic Surgeon since 1998. Prof. Winkler graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Ben Gurion University of Negev, Israel, in 1987. He did his Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic residency at Sheba Medical Center Tel Hashomer, Israel. In 2011 Prof Winkler was appointed Chief of Plastic Surgery and Burn Unit at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. Currently Prof. Winkler serves as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Assuta University Hospital, Ashdod and as Head of Plastic Surgery and pediatric burn service at Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital, Bnei Brak. During his career at the public service Prof. Winkler has performed numerous reconstructive surgeries for trauma, cancer and burn repair. After his residency, Prof. Winkler trained as a Micro-surgery fellow at NYU Hospital. Prof. Winkler served as Chairman of the Israel Society of Plastic Surgery for four years (2004-2009) and led a revolutionary legislation at the Israeli Parliament that enables B.C plastic surgeons only to perform certain cosmetic procedures. Prof. Winkler has published in distinguished medical journals and book chapters. Dolores Wolfram-Raunicher

Dolores Wolfram (MD, MBA) is a plastic surgeon and scientist and she is currently employed as Associate Professor at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria. The focus of her experimental research are immunological processes in Plastic Surgery. She has been investigating local and systemic immunological side effects of silicone breast implants as well as new diagnostic markers for acute skin rejection after vascularized composite tissue allotransplantation. Dr. Wolfram carried out molecular, cellular, histological as well as genetic research in the field of capsular fibrosis, which is initiated by the immune system. Over the past few years, she has focused her research on the immunological biocompatibility of silicone surfaces with the overall aim to translate basic science to clinical practice. She has raised several peer reviewed grants for her research projects as well as Industry supported funding and received numerous awards for her scientific work. Aside her experimental research, Dr. Wolfram has specialized on reconstructive microsurgery with a focus on head and neck as well as breast reconstruction.

Kamakshi R. Zeidler

Dr. Kamakshi R. Zeidler, board certified plastic surgeon, is the co-founder of Aesthetx, the premier plastic surgery and dermatology practice in Silicon Valley, California.
